You will be responsible for assisting both technical and managerial teams in supervising the maintenance and operations of our facilities. Your role includes ensuring the optimal performance of all building systems, managing a team of technicians, supervisors, and coordinators—whether in-house or from appointed contractors—and contributing to the planning and execution of maintenance activities for the assigned facility or facilities. The Facilities Management Department at EMAAR Malls is committed to maintaining the seamless operation of mall properties, playing a vital role in enhancing the experience of both visitors and tenants. The department manages daily maintenance, repairs, and overall facility operations, ensuring high efficiency and quality standards. Additionally, it collaborates with external vendors and service providers to deliver essential services such as security, cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance effectively.
Maintenance Coordination & Supervision: Assist management in organizing and overseeing all maintenance activities within the facilities.
System Operations & Efficiency: Ensure optimal performance of electrical and HVAC systems through proper operation, maintenance, and repairs.
Team Leadership & Development: Where applicable, manage technicians, supervisors, and coordinators, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
Service Provider Oversight: Supervise and actively participate in maintenance activities carried out by external service providers.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce operational costs.
Emergency Preparedness: Contribute to emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for unforeseen incidents.
Facility Inspections & Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and regulatory compliance, implementing quality control measures.
Vendor & Contractor Collaboration: Work with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, maintenance, and projects.
Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, soft services, project management, health & safety, operations, guest services, and security, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Budget Management: Assist in budget planning, monitor maintenance-related expenditures, and contribute to cost-effective operations.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance operations.
Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving: Provide troubleshooting support for building system issues, resolving problems efficiently with innovative solutions.
Sustainability & Energy Conservation: Assist in developing and implementing energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of facilities management activities, including reports, technical instructions, scopes of work, and proposals.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in facilities management.
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.
Expertise in technical systems related to the assigned discipline.
Proven ability to supervise, lead, and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and operational challenges.
Proficiency in CAFM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of local regulations, codes, and safety standards in facilities management.
Fluency in English with effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Professional certification or license in facilities management or engineering (e.g., CFM, P.E.).
Experience in retail, commercial property management, or aviation.
Familiarity with sustainable practices and energy-efficient technologies.
