The Facilities Manager at Tadweer is responsible for managing the daily operations of waste management facilities, ensuring efficient maintenance, regulatory compliance, and optimal resource utilization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness, as well as coordinating procurement with internal teams and contractors. The manager will also enforce quality control measures and oversee third-party contractors within the Recycling department, ensuring adherence to operational and technical contractual obligations while optimizing collection service performance.
Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of Tadweer’s waste management facilities to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Develop Facility Management Strategies: Design and implement strategies and policies to enhance facility management and operational effectiveness.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present detailed reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and overall performance.
Service Provider Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of collection service providers, ensuring strict adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full contract lifecycle of collection services, collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with collection service providers to foster collaboration and improve service delivery.
Oversee the daily operations of waste management facilities, including waste treatment plants, recycling centers, and landfill sites.
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facilities.
Allocate and manage facility resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets, to maximize operational efficiency.
Develop and implement facility management strategies and policies to improve operational effectiveness and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in facility operations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess facility conditions and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and resolve any operational challenges.
Monitor facility performance metrics and KPIs to track performance and drive improvements.
Develop and execute emergency response plans and contingency measures to handle disruptions or unforeseen incidents.
Prepare and present detailed reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and performance to the Operational Facilities/Asset Management Director and other stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate and refine facility processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders to address concerns and foster positive relationships.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in waste management facility operations and maintenance.
Collections Strategy & Performance Management:
Contribute to the development and execution of collections strategies to ensure effective third-party performance and contract management.
Oversee the day-to-day management of third-party collection contracts, ensuring compliance with technical and contractual obligations.
Performance Monitoring & Compliance:
Monitor and evaluate collection services based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Deploy teams for site inspections and monitoring activities to ensure proper supervision of third-party collection services.
Conduct regular performance reviews of service providers, addressing any gaps and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure service providers comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Contract Lifecycle Management:
Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including negotiations, renewals, amendments, and cancellations, in coordination with Procurement, Legal, and other stakeholders.
Identify short-term and medium-term optimization opportunities to improve contract efficiency.
Process Improvement & Vendor Relations:
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance collection processes, improving efficiency and service effectiveness.
Develop and implement vendor selection and evaluation processes in coordination with Procurement.
Maintain strong relationships with collection service providers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Industry Best Practices & Innovation:
Stay up to date on industry best practices and technological advancements in waste collection and contract management.
Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance collection operations and contract performance.
Policy & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to organizational and departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
Sustainability Alignment: Promote environmentally friendly practices in line with sustainability principles during duty performance.
Risk & Business Continuity Management (BCM):
Fulfill responsibilities under the organization’s risk management and BCM frameworks, including Disaster Recovery Management.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and Business Continuity Management (BCM) regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications are preferred.
Minimum of 15 years in facilities or contract management, preferably within the waste management sector.
Fluent in English (strong written and verbal communication).
